** This posting is for female photographers in Toronto and the GTA (including
trans-identified folks - please note: this is a queer-positive group). **

A couple of us are thinking to start an informal meet-up group for photographers who might just be starting out or are hobbyists/enthusiasts (i.e. not established professionals) but are looking to get more involved in the field of photography in general.

We envision this group to be for those who feel they could use some motivation from their peers, work towards projects and possibly plan a group exhibit sometime in the near future.

It's open to those who are passionate about photography, who are into making art (and sometimes, getting paid for it :-) and who could benefit from getting together with like-minded women to share knowledge and resources (as we understand sometimes the field of photography can be intimidating as it is a space predominately taken up by men).
